Project Overview:

In Punta Arenas, Chile, PBOX was entrusted with a challenging project to illuminate some of the city’s most extreme areas with solar street lights. The project involved the installation of 9 sets of X5 DUAL solar street lights, each comprising a 400W PV panel, a 30W LED light with amber light chips, and more efficient LiFePO4 battery. These lights were strategically placed in the Puerto Toro region to provide reliable night-time illumination for the local community.

The project was designed to meet stringent environmental requirements, which necessitated the use of amber light beads. These beads enhance the visibility and safety of road users during night-time, while minimizing light pollution and protecting local wildlife from the disruptive effects of bright white light.

Solar Power Lighting Solution:

To address the specific needs and environmental conditions of Puerto Toro, our team implemented the following solar power lighting solution:

· High-Efficiency PV Panel: The 400W PV panel ensures optimal solar energy capture, enabling the system to store sufficient energy during the day to meet night-time lighting requirements.

· Amber Light Chips: The 30W LED light with amber light beads enhances visibility and safety for night-time road users, making it easier to navigate the area while minimizing environmental impact.

· High-Capacity Batteries: The 4 batteries of 512Wh provide backup power, ensuring continuous operation even during extended periods of low sunlight or overcast conditions.
